ECVP 2002 -- Veni, Vidi, ECVP
About Glasgow Sightseeing and Tours
Accommodation Getting to the Venue

Glasgow is the largest city in Scotland and benefits from direct flights to other major European and North American cities. Glasgow is only half an hour away from the Highlands and 45 minutes from Edinburgh whose annual festival takes place around the time of the conference.
Book your accomodation early to benefit from discounted rates.

If you are not a national of the UK, Ireland, the EEC, a Commonwealth country or North America, it may be the case that you need to apply for a Visa that would allow you to enter the UK to attend the conference. The Foreign and Commonwealth Office has supplied a very useful web site on which you can check whether you may need a visa, get instructions for any procedure that you will need to follow and where you can download relevant forms and guidance notes.

If you have submitted an abstract to ECVP2002 and it is accepted, the acceptance letter/e-mail will include a letter of invitation that you can use in applying for your visa. It will also help your application if your accommodation has been reserved and confirmed. If you need a more formal letter, e-mail Helena Paterson at
